Managed Services
Keep your entire Peplink fleet running at peak performance, without building an in-house networking team. We monitor, maintain and optimise your network so you can focus on your business.
Your Network Is Growing. Your Team Is Not.
You started with five routers. Now you have fifty, spread across three countries. Each one needs firmware updates, configuration changes, SIM monitoring and troubleshooting when something goes wrong. Your IT team already has a full workload. They did not sign up to become Peplink specialists, and every hour they spend wrestling with router configurations is an hour they are not spending on the projects that matter to your organisation.
This is the problem our managed services exist to solve. We take ownership of your Peplink infrastructure so your team does not have to. Every router, every SIM, every firmware version, every alert. Monitored, maintained and managed by engineers who work with Peplink products every single day.
We currently manage fleets ranging from a handful of routers at a single site to more than 200 devices spread across multiple countries. The approach scales. The tooling scales. The processes scale. Whether you have ten routers or ten thousand, the service works the same way.
InControl2 Monitoring
Peplink's InControl2 cloud management platform is the foundation of our managed service. It gives us a single dashboard view of every router in your fleet, regardless of where they are deployed. We see connection status, WAN health, cellular signal strength, bandwidth consumption, SpeedFusion tunnel status, client counts and dozens of other metrics, all updated in real time.
When we onboard your network, we configure InControl2 with your organisational structure. Routers are grouped by site, region, function or any hierarchy that makes sense for your operations. This means we can spot patterns at a fleet level, not just device by device. If signal quality is degrading across all routers in a particular region, that tells us something different from a single device dropping offline.
You get access to the same dashboard. Full transparency, no black boxes. You can see exactly what we see, whenever you want. Many of our clients check in once a month. Others prefer to watch it daily. Either way, the data is there.
Six Pillars of Managed Network Operations
Our managed service covers every aspect of running a Peplink network. Here is what is included.
Firmware Management
We test every firmware release before deploying it to your fleet. Staged rollouts start with non-critical devices, and we monitor for regressions before pushing updates wider. If a firmware update causes issues, we roll back within minutes. No surprises, no untested updates on production routers.
Custom Alerting
We set alert thresholds tailored to your environment. Bandwidth utilisation exceeding 80%. Latency climbing above 50ms. Packet loss above 0.5%. Cellular signal dropping below -85 dBm. Every threshold is tuned to your specific requirements, not generic defaults. Alerts come to us first; we act on them before they become problems you notice.
Performance Reporting
Every month, you receive a detailed report covering network health, bandwidth utilisation, uptime figures, incident summaries and trend analysis. These reports are written in plain English, not raw data exports. We highlight what changed, what needs attention and what we recommend for the next period. Quarterly business reviews are available for larger deployments.
SIM Management
We monitor data usage across every SIM in your fleet, track carrier performance by region, flag SIMs approaching data caps and swap carriers when a better option becomes available. For multi-network SIMs, we manage APN configurations, carrier lock policies and roaming profiles. If a SIM is underperforming, we catch it before it affects your connectivity.
Configuration Management
Centralised policy deployment through InControl2 means we can push configuration changes across your entire fleet from a single interface. VLAN updates, firewall rule changes, SpeedFusion tunnel adjustments, Wi-Fi policy modifications. Every change is tested, documented and reversible. No more logging into routers one at a time.
Backup and Restore
We maintain configuration backups of every device in your fleet. If a router fails or needs replacing, we can restore its full configuration onto a new device in minutes, not hours. Backup schedules run automatically, and every backup is verified. When you ship a replacement router to a remote site, it arrives pre-loaded with the correct configuration.
We See Issues Before Your Users Notice
Traditional IT support is reactive. Something breaks, someone reports it, someone investigates it, someone fixes it. The user has already been affected. Meetings have been disrupted. Streams have dropped. Deadlines have been missed.
Our approach is different. Because we monitor your network continuously, we spot degradation patterns before they cause outages. A cellular signal gradually weakening. A WAN link developing intermittent packet loss. A SpeedFusion tunnel with increasing latency. These are early warning signs, and we act on them.
When we detect an issue, we investigate immediately. If it requires a configuration change, we apply it. If it requires a SIM swap, we coordinate it. If it requires a site visit, we arrange it. In most cases, the problem is resolved before any user at your organisation is aware it existed.
This is the fundamental difference between managed and unmanaged networking. With an unmanaged network, problems become outages. With our managed service, problems become log entries.
Managing 200+ Routers From a Single Dashboard
One of our managed service clients operates more than 200 Peplink routers across multiple countries. The routers serve broadcast facilities, temporary event sites, remote offices and vehicle-mounted deployments. The fleet includes Balance routers at fixed sites, MAX Transit units in vehicles, and HD4 MBX routers for high-bandwidth broadcast applications.
Every one of those routers is visible on a single InControl2 dashboard. We can see which devices are online, which are using which WAN connections, how much bandwidth each is consuming, and whether any are showing signs of trouble. Configuration changes can be pushed to every device in a group simultaneously, or targeted at individual units.
This kind of fleet-wide visibility is what makes centralised management practical. Without it, you would need engineers logging into each router individually, checking status manually and applying changes one at a time. That approach does not scale beyond a dozen devices. With InControl2 and our managed service, it scales to thousands.
What centralised management means in practice
Consider a firmware update. Without centralised management, an engineer would need to log into each router individually, check the current firmware version, download the update, apply it and verify it completed successfully. For 200 routers, that could take days of work and introduce significant risk if an update causes problems on a device in a remote location.
With our managed service, the process looks different. We test the new firmware on a small group of non-critical devices first. We monitor those devices for 48 to 72 hours. If everything looks stable, we schedule a phased rollout across the fleet, grouping devices by region and criticality. The entire process is managed through InControl2, with automatic rollback available if any device reports issues after the update. A firmware rollout across 200 devices that would take an in-house team a week takes us a few hours of active work, spread across a carefully managed schedule.
SLA Options and Response Times
We offer three tiers of managed service, each with defined response times and coverage hours. Every tier includes full InControl2 monitoring, firmware management, configuration backups and monthly reporting. The difference between tiers is primarily about response speed and the scope of proactive management included.
| Feature | Standard | Enhanced | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monitoring hours | Business hours (Mon-Fri) | Extended (7am-10pm, 7 days) | 24/7/365 |
| Critical alert response | Within 4 hours | Within 1 hour | Within 15 minutes |
| Non-critical alert response | Next business day | Within 4 hours | Within 1 hour |
| Firmware management | Quarterly | Monthly | As released (staged) |
| Performance reporting | Monthly summary | Monthly detailed | Monthly + quarterly review |
| Configuration changes | 5 per month | 15 per month | Unlimited |
| SIM management | Usage monitoring | Usage + carrier optimisation | Full lifecycle management |
| Dedicated account manager | No | Shared | Yes |
Most organisations start with the Standard tier and move to Enhanced or Premium as their fleet grows. There is no minimum contract length. We bill monthly per device, with volume discounts for fleets over 50 routers. Pricing depends on device complexity, the number of WAN connections per router and your chosen SLA tier.
All tiers include a 30-day onboarding period during which we audit your existing configuration, set up monitoring, establish baselines and document your network topology. This onboarding phase is critical. It ensures we understand your environment thoroughly before we begin active management.
Configuration Backups and Rapid Recovery
Hardware fails. Routers get damaged in transit. Occasionally, a configuration change has unintended consequences. When any of these things happen, recovery speed is what matters.
We maintain automated configuration backups of every managed device. Backups run on a scheduled cycle and also trigger automatically whenever a configuration change is applied. Every backup is stored securely, versioned and available for instant restoration.
If a router fails at a remote site, the replacement process is straightforward. We ship a new device pre-loaded with the most recent configuration backup. The on-site team plugs it in, powers it on and the network is restored. No engineer visit required. No hours spent reconfiguring from scratch. The replacement router connects to InControl2 automatically, and we verify everything is working from our end.
For organisations with critical uptime requirements, we can hold pre-configured spare devices at strategic locations. If a router fails at 2am, a spare can be swapped in by anyone with basic instructions. The configuration is already loaded. The SIMs are already activated. The recovery time drops from hours to minutes.
Change management and version control
Every configuration change we make is logged, timestamped and attributed to the engineer who made it. If a change causes unexpected behaviour, we can identify exactly what changed, when it changed and roll it back to the previous known-good configuration. This audit trail is available to you at any time, and we include a summary of all changes in your monthly report.
For larger organisations with change advisory boards or ITIL processes, we integrate with your existing change management workflow. Changes are submitted for approval, scheduled during agreed maintenance windows and documented with full before-and-after configurations.
Keep the Network Running Without Hiring a Team
Hiring a full-time network engineer with Peplink expertise is expensive. In the UK, the salary alone is typically between £45,000 and £65,000 per year, before you add employer National Insurance, pension contributions, training, tools and management overhead. That single hire can take sick leave, go on holiday and will eventually leave your organisation, taking all their institutional knowledge with them.
Our managed service gives you access to a team of Peplink-certified engineers for a fraction of that cost. You are not dependent on a single person. You do not need to worry about staff turnover, training or keeping up with Peplink firmware releases and product changes. That is our job.
For organisations with existing IT teams, our managed service complements rather than replaces your internal capability. Your team stays focused on the infrastructure they know best, while we handle the Peplink-specific work. We collaborate with your team, share knowledge and make sure they can reach us whenever they need guidance.
