Electric Nation: keeping 673 smart chargers online

Commissioned by EA Technology as communications systems integrator for the world's largest home smart charging trial, funded through Ofgem's Network Innovation Allowance and hosted by Western Power Distribution. We identified the secure Wi-Fi bridge that went into 82 per cent of installations, configured and dispatched the charger controllers, ran the resilient backhaul for around 650 gateway devices, and completed 346 on-site fault visits. Fleet communications reliability reached the level the trial needed to produce its findings.

Every figure on these pages comes from a published report, a system record or a signed-off project document. We do not round up, we do not quote peak numbers as though they were typical, and where a project report criticises our work we say so on the page. If a client has asked to stay unnamed, we say that too rather than describing them in a way that identifies them anyway.
